Helen of Destroy: While i do think we've gone too far in the direction of "multiculturalism," i also think there's something to be said for cultural exchange. i don't think we should let everyone in, so when i say streamline legal entry perhaps i should have clarified - but i think some kind of merit-based system, where if an immigrant has some skill or talent to offer the country, could create a more interesting society than just an oppressive sameness.

Especially given that the United States was colonized by immigrants from many different places, i don't see this country working as a one-race or one-color nation - unless you're planning on handing it back to the natives, which would be a bit absurd from a numbers standpoint alone. so - i can't speak for Tom, but i'm not personally avoiding race because i'm worried about losing friends - i'm avoiding it because i think it's not the central issue.

Class, on the other hand, IS the central issue. Do you really believe that if we magically got rid of all the non-white people that rich & poor would suddenly start getting along perfectly? that the Zuckerbergs, Bloombergs, Bezoses would share their wealth & start treating the downtrodden as equals? It's easy to confuse the one for the other, particularly if you live in a place where there is a large ethnic underclass - but remove the "other" from American (or western in general) society & they will create a new "other" out of what's left.

"bit absurd" ... but way less diabolically absurd without such fairly radical stances and aims / ideals / 'extractivist intention callibration ... taylored to prevent duh biocidally absurd ... which is what even slight 'smearing' [hard to detect 'discoloration'] pans out to ... certain continent cuspers careening off their cutie crack rockers ... i bet the dumbest dutch move, a mere repeat, got to them too/first: building dykes .. depriving themselves of sedimentation / grounding / nourishment / sanity ... cause they could [schizopated into 'were forced to' ... i used to be fond of calling it 'in[ter]continentce'].

So much wisdom, so much honesty, so much courage -- and yet in the 45 minutes I gave this video, no mention of the biggest reasons to stop the invasion: (1) Americans (Britons, Germans et al) don't want it, period. No borders means no country. (2) Mixing people of DIFFERENT RACES AND SKIN COLOR destroys social cohesion and trust, two things any society MUST have if it's to have any future at all. Even "liberal" science is having to admit this, now that it's too late.
(3) Mixing people of DIFFERENT RACES AND SKIN COLOR destroys true, naturally occurring diversity. What do you call it when Switzerland is finally indistinguishable from Swaziland?

You two wonderful people dance all around the racial subject and maybe the"progressive" label needs to be tossed onto the ash heap of history -- because there's nothing progressive (or conservative or liberal) about systematically avoiding ANY large reality for ANY reason. You're afraid you'll lose the rest of our friends and all your followers if you get real on race, and you could be right -- but the times call for total honesty. It's not the eleventh hour, it's 3:26 AM! And I'm sorry, Helen -- we don't need to streamline legal entry. We need to stop ALL immigration and start expelling all invaders.

The first reason I gave above trumps absolutely all others -- the public  don't want this mess. Every poll shows it, and what are the politicians elected for but to give us what we actually want and need? NO REASONS ARE NEEDED FOR OPPOSING ANY KIND OF INVASION -- but so-called liberals succeed in getting us all endlessly fighting over secondary matters.
